Who we are

KC Tech Trades (“we,” “us”) is a Kansas City–area next-gen jobs portal and early-career coaching pilot, operated by One Day Systems LLC. Contact: [email protected]. Website: https://kctechtrades.com.

What this covers

This policy describes how we handle personal information when you use our website, join the beta seeker group, email us, or participate in coach digests and soft intros. Demo /app portals use fictional data only and are not a live account system.

Information we collect

You give us

• Beta signup (optional name; required email, metro/commute, track, “about you / job target”; optional resume file; optional how you heard about us)
• Emails you send us (replies to digests, steering notes, resumes shared by you or a mentor/parent with your knowledge)
• Soft-intro preferences (whether you opt in to being introduced to an employer)

Collected automatically

• Basic web/server logs and security telemetry from our host (Cloudflare) — e.g. IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps — for security and reliability
• We do not run advertising trackers or sell data to ad networks

How we use information

• Review beta signups and decide whether to onboard coaching
• Send coaching digests, hunt tips, and related replies
• Match you to will-train / early-career openings and, only with your opt-in, make soft intros to employers or mentors
• Operate, secure, and improve the site and coaching workflow
• Comply with law or respond to valid legal requests

We do not sell your personal information or seeker lists. We do not scrape LinkedIn/Indeed or automate DMs on those platforms.

How we share information

We share personal information only when needed to run the service:

• Service providers that process data for us (today: FormSubmit for the public beta form; Google/Gmail for inbound/outbound coaching mail; Cloudflare for hosting). They may only use data to provide their service to us.
• Employers or mentors — only the minimum needed for a soft intro after you opt in
• Legal / safety — if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the service

Mentors or parents who email us on a seeker’s behalf should only share what the seeker has agreed to share.

Soft intros and consent

We do not mass-send resumes. A soft intro to an employer happens only after you (or your designated mentor, with your knowledge) clearly opt in for that intro.

Retention

We keep coaching and signup records while you are active in the beta and for a reasonable period afterward so we can resume coaching or answer questions, then delete or de-identify when no longer needed — unless law requires longer. You can ask us to delete your record (see below).

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards (including provider security features). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your choices

Email [email protected] to:

• Access or correct what we have about you
• Ask us to stop coaching emails
• Ask us to delete your signup / coaching file (we may keep minimal records if legally required)
• Withdraw consent for soft intros going forward

Children

The beta is aimed at early-career adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child submitted data, contact us and we will delete it.

International note

We operate from the United States. If you contact us from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the U.S.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change, and for material changes we will post an update on this page (and, when practical, note it in a coaching email).
